Bengal Cancer Foundation Charitable trust is a ‘non-profit’ organization for cancer care established by Professor Debnarayan Dutta, eminent Oncologist in 2012. This organization is mostly run by the cancer survivors and volunteers. These volunteers are the major source of strength for the organization. The Founder & Chairman, Dr Debnarayan Dutta is the major source of inspiration for the organization. He devotes a lot of his time from his busy schedule. Other trustees, Dr Rita Bhattacharya (Rahaman), Ms Mousumi Dutta and Mr Curtis Arathoon support and guide the activities.

Throughout the year a proportion of the volunteers of Bengal Cancer Foundation are actively involved with awareness program, screening camps and rehabilitation support in the interior villages of West Bengal. These awareness programs and clinics help many cancer patients to avail consultation, support and services. Few cancer survivors are also work with the organization and help in setting up clinics, camps and general awareness about cancer treatment. By sharing their experience of treatment, they tried to give support cancer patient. Our all members and volunteers are very much active in all of our activities.
Mission and Vision of Bengal Cancer Foundation:
- Increasing awareness about Cancer care, initiating steps for early detection
- Supporting patients with timely and appropriate treatment
- Providing patients with financial, medical & counselling assistance
- Creating awareness about the types of cancer, their treatment & prevention with focus on diet & lifestyle
- Provide treatment plan, affordable treatment services and opinion from eminent oncologist.
- Psychological assistance in dealing with cancer during treatment & post treatment.
- Conducting detection camps where in complete medical body check-up to detect cancer people who are diagnosed with cancer are giving & medical assistance
- Volunteering opportunities for interested
- Rehabilitation support to the patients family

Lions Club of Burdwan Cancer Care is an International Lions Club affiliated organization for services established in 2022 at Nababhat, Burdwan. This Lions club along with other clubs in the region is helping in increasing awareness regarding cancer care.
Activities of Lions Club of Burdwan Cancer care:
- Special attention is given for childhood cancer care.
- Increasing cancer vaccine related awareness (HPV Vaccine) for female child (Age <13 years) are in the priority list
- News paper with health section released every month by Lions Club of Burdwan Cancer Care
- Regular awareness camps, blood donation camps, ‘Cancer Day’ Celebration
