Cancer being the Second leading cause of death globally has no antecedents for it eradication/control other than generation awareness amongst each and everyone. This stupendous task has been undertaken by Bengal Cancer Foundation through it's sharply defined objectives. We are also establishing a Day Care Centre for Cancer Patient at Kolkata. Also we do Cancer Awareness Programs by Social Works every month in West Bengal and Bangladesh.

  • Mass Awareness Programme for Health Check-up and Cancer Screening at Kalyani, West Bengal, India in November, 2014.

    With the help of Kalyani Municipality, Bengal Cancer Foundation and Apollo Speciality Hospital (Chennai) jointly organized a Mass Awareness Programme for Health Check-up and Cancer Screening at Kalyani, West Bengal, India. With the help of Kalyani Municipality, Bengal Cancer Foundation and Apollo Speciality Hospital (Chennai) jointly organized a Mass Awareness Programme for Health Check-up and Cancer Screening at Kalyani, West Bengal, India. Cancer Specialist from Apollo Speciality Hospital, Chennai, Dr. Debnarayan Dutta headed the program and also did free consultation. The chairman, Dr. Nilimesh Roy Chowdhury helps for local official permission and also present on that Awareness Camp. Medical Super, Kalyani Medical College shared his valuable speeches with us. Near about 300 people was present there. Near about 50 people consulted with their problem with Dr. Debnarayan Dutta. The aim of that camp is to aware people about cancer and it's early diagnosis and treatment. This Camp was runs by cancer patient, their family and cancer conqueror. Presence of cancer survivor in that event who spoke of their experience and fight with the deadly disease added a special effect to general people and added special strength to the cancer patients, present on that Awareness Camp. Some patient suffering from cancer also was on the stage to share their pain and to know the solution from the doctor. A drama named "Tabu Mone Rekho" for awareness about Cervix Cancer was played by 'Ranga Shilpi' group.

    With the help of local people Bengal Cancer Foundation organized a Cancer Awareness Camp at Shyamnagar Haraprasad Shastri Vidyapith, Nadia district, West Bengal, India. Mr. Ashok Singha Roy, one of the social worker, worked for the treatment of cancer patient, helped us for local official permission. Near about 100 students guardian of that school was attend the camp. Chairman, Bengal Cancer Foundation and Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Apollo Speciality Hospital, Chennai, Dr. Debnarayan Dutta was the chief guest on that Camp. There was a question answer session for the camp attendant with Dr. Dutta. Presence of cancer survivor in that event who spoke of their experience and fight with the deadly disease added a special effect to general people.

  • Drawing Competition on 'Cancer Awareness' at Berhampur on 14th & 15th February, 2015

    In the camp there we organized a drawing competition for those teenagers. As the Chairman of BCF Dr. Debnarayan Dutta given the topic for the drawing competition was 'How to aware people about cancer' & 'Do not Start Smoking'. The main target is to aware teenagers about harmful side of smoking. So that they do not start smoking. We target the teenager cause they have high possibility for addiction. If they learn littlie about cancer and the reason. We all know smoking is a big reason of cancer. n the camp there we organized a drawing competition for those teenagers.Cause after start smoking it will be difficult to quit. There 90 students participate on that competition, divided in three group- class V to VII, Class VIII to X and XI to XII. There was a question answer session with Dr. Dutta and Dr. Somita Poddar. People freely shared their problems and satisfied with the answer.
